One of the top 5 rarest gemstones in the world! Color changing variety of Chrysoberyl called Alexandrite. This specimen is from Carnaiba, Bahia, Brazil and is the nicest one I have from this locality. This specimen is twinned and well terminated with some nice gemmy areas. It is in a schist matrix that has been painstakingly removed to best show the crystal structure.
