The Shure MX153B/O-TQG is a black earset microphone that rests on a single ear, delivering clear, natural speech while allowing the wearer to move freely on stage, in a meeting room, or during a worship service. Its subminiature capsule sits close to the corner of the mouth, so the audience hears the voice, not the microphone.
A capsule that is both subminiature and omnidirectional captures a full 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range with steady tonal balance, even when the speaker turns their head. The design also reduces plosive sounds, making words like “p” and “t” come through cleanly without distracting pops.
The 3.9-foot soft flex cable is reinforced with Kevlar fibers for strength that holds up to daily setups and teardowns. A TA4F mini-XLR connector snaps directly into Shure wireless bodypack transmitters and runs on the 1 V to 5 V plug-in power those packs supply, so no additional batteries or adapters are needed.
Shure’s CommShield technology is built into the wiring to block interference from smartphones, two-way radios, and other RF sources that often share the stage or conference table. That protection helps maintain a clean signal, even in busy wireless environments.
