Harris® Stay-Silv® 6HP phos-copper brazing alloy filler metal 3/32" round x 36" long rod packed in a 25 lb. box is a medium range silver brazing alloy filler metal designed for copper-to-copper applications. It is somewhat more ductile than Harris 0. Stay-Silv® 6 can be used on copper-to-brass with appropriate brazing flux. Stay-Silv® 6 has a lower phosphorus content than the AWS BCuP- 4 classification thus creating an alloy that is well suited for many brazing applications. The melting range makes it useful for assemblies with wider clearance. Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive.
Features
- Medium-range silver brazing alloy for copper-to-copper applications
- Higher phosphorus content version of Stay-Silv® 6 produces a lower liquidus temperature
- Yields a smooth flowing filler metal that is self fluxing on copper
- Excellent choice for brazing brass where lower temperatures are preferred
- Used in rod form for manual braze applications, but can be formed as brazing rings or on spools for semi-automated applications
- Recommended joint clearance of 0.001"-0.004" (0.03 mm-0.10 mm)

- Use Stay-Silv® white flux to braze brass or copper-to-brass
- Not recommended for brazing steel or other ferrous base metals
