Beautiful vintage GMB Gladding McBean Franciscan Ware 1953-1958 very large Yellow Chop Plate 16”. The paper label on the back means it was made in 1953 to 1958. During this period they went to a paper label and in 1958 they returned to the back stamp logo.
On the back you can see minute pits from the manufacturer in pictures #1 and 2. Also on the back you can see the marks (sort of white marks) from the drying racks after cast. This style came in a variety of colors and was marketed as a way to add color to your dinner table by mixing the colors in your table settings and serving pieces, as they were purchased individually.
